A nice-looking bar, cafe and general store ambitiously branded a "bodega" will soon land in the heart of Bedrock's City Modern development.

Located on the ground floor of the apartment building at 2665 Brush, the Brush Park Bodega will serve as "a local, convenient market with all the essentials, as well as exciting products from Detroit and Michigan vendors" making "the entire shopping experience a whole lot more fun,” co-owner Marcus Perez tells the website Urbanize.

As per the Free Press, there will also be a cafe serving prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner meals including salads and sandwiches.

A commenter at Urbanize notes that while whatever the coming business is indeed looks nice, it "isn't exactly a 'bodega,' when you're likely to pay $30 for a bottle of olive oil."

The shop will serve the surrounding condos, where at last check units were on offer for about $1.6 million. It reportedly opens next month.
