Three Detroiters have been charged with first-degree murder in the killing last year of a witness in a criminal case, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday.
Bekelba Migel Holland, 52, Tycie Denise Parham, 48, and Gerald Keith Towns, 62, are charged in the Oct. 14, 2025, fatal shooting of Robert Harbin, 42, of Detroit.
Parham and the victim had a child together, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said. Towns was awaiting trial in Wayne County Circuit Court on multiple charges, including intent to murder and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Harbin was a witness in his case.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office alleges that late in the night of Oct. 24, 2025, Holland followed the victim to a home in the 18700 block of Kelly Road on Detroit's east side and then fired a handgun multiple times into his vehicle, killing him.
Authorities allege that defendants Parham and Towns aided and abetted Holland in the shooting.
"Almost nothing is more serious than the murder of a witness," said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy. "Nothing raises the hackles of a prosecutor more. In this case it is alleged that these defendants thought the road to acquittal was the elimination of a witness.
"Now they find themselves charged with murder. This office will be extremely aggressive in making sure these defendants are brought to justice for this brutal behavior."
